Doha, February 26 (QNA) - As part of its efforts aimed at promoting public hygiene practices and preserving environmental resources for future generations, the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) launched a campaign to clean the Zekreet Beach, located 50 miles west of Doha.
Director of the Occupational Health and Safety Department at PHCC, Dr. Maryam Al Meslimani, said that Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV)aims to transform Qatar into a developed country capable of achieving sustainable development and ensuring the continuity of decent living for its people, pointing that the vision is addressing five main challenges that determine the future, including: economic and social development and environmental protection and development.
QNV 2030 has adopted environmental development as one of four pillars to ensure protecting the environment in harmony with economic and social development, she said.
Themed "Together for a Clean Qatar - Better Environment, Better Future", the campaign is part of PHCC's programme aimed at protecting the environment, including programs for monitoring air quality, safe management of primary health care waste, and management of hazardous materials and other waste.
