Paris, February 27 (QNA) - President of the Institute for European Perspective and Security (IPSE) Emmanuel Dupuy praised the balanced diplomacy of the State of Qatar under the leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, which made it a reliable partner at the regional and international levels.
In statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) correspondent in Paris, Dupuy said that the openness of the State of Qatar, its distinguished relations with various world countries, its belief in the importance of dialogue in resolving conflicts, and its efforts in enhancing security and stability in the region and the world, made it able to play the role of mediator, and to interact, coordinate and dialogue with all parties with a balanced policy.
The IPSE President highlighted HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's visit to the French Republic, at the invitation of HE President Emmanuel Macron. The visit aims at promoting cooperation ties between the two countries and discussing regional and international issues of common concern.
Dupuy noted that the growing relations between Qatar and France are based on consolidating the political and economic cooperation in various fields. He stressed HH the Amir's keenness on advancing the bilateral relations to broader horizons, within the framework of Qatar's balanced diplomacy at the international level, its great openness to the world, and its belief in the power of dialogue and the culture of peace, cooperation and solidarity.
Dupuy valued the mediation efforts exerted by the State of Qatar to reach an immediate ceasefire in Gaza Strip and a humanitarian truce that would contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people; pointing to coordination between Qatar, France and other countries in order to find a quick solution to this crisis.
In conclusion of his statements to QNA, the President of the Institute for European Perspective and Security hailed the great efforts exerted by the State of Qatar to evacuate thousands of foreign nationals from Afghanistan, which received praise from many countries around the world and strengthened Qatars position as a prominent actor on the political scene regionally and internationally.
