Hamad bin Khalifa Center in Denmark Inaugurated

Copenhagen, June 19 (QNA) - Hamad bin Khalifa Center, which was built at the expenses of HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani was opened here today. Speaking on the occasion, HE Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Dr. Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari described the opening of the center as a genuine desire to get acquainted with the history of the Kingdom of Denmark and the Muslim world. Under the wise leadership of HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar spares no effort to highlight Islam's real value which is based on moderation to support all serious dialogue among Muslims around the world and to establish balanced relations among them and with their non-Muslim neighbor, HE the minister said. HE Dr. Al Kuwari noted that Qatar contributes with its full conviction to all positive initiatives for dialogue among cultures and alliance of civilizations and mutual understanding between peoples, saying Qatar is glad with supporting this cultural project and it inspires this center to be a bridge to build confidence and to achieve mutual understanding between Danish people and peoples of the Islamic world. For his part, Abdel-Hamid Al-Hamdi ,President of the Islamic Danish Council , stated that the Hamad bin Khalifa Center represents a quantum leap in the history of Muslims in Denmark and their relationship with the Islamic world , praising Qatar's role in establishing this historic project, which is considered as a model for other communities . The opening ceremony was attended by a number of officials from Qatar , the Kingdom of Denmark as well as scholars and clerics.(QNA)
