King Salman Relieves Crown Prince Muqrin
Riyadh, April 29 (QNA) - Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued several royal decrees on Wednesday, including relieving the Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as Crown Prince and from his post as Deputy Prime Minister.
The decrees also appointed Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister and Head of the Council of the Political and Security Affairs.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has been named according to the decrees as Deputy Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Board of Economic Affairs and Development. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud also issued a royal decree approving the request of Foreign Minister Prince Saud bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to be relieved from his duties due to his health conditions.
Prince Saud bin Faisal was appointed according to the decree as Minister of State and Cabinet's Member, an Adviser and a Special Envoy of King Salman, as well as a Supervisor on Foreign Affairs.
Minister of Labor Adel bin Mohammed Faqih was also dismissed and named as Minister of Economy and Planning. He was succeeded by Dr. Moufarrej bin Saad Al-Hagbani.
Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Essa, Vice-President of the Royal Court, was relieved from his post, and appointed as Minister of State and Member in the Cabinet and the Political and Security Affairs Council. The royal decree also named Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed bin Nasser Al Yousuf as Chairman of the Grievance Board with a Ministerial Degree.
According to the decree, Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Suwailem was appointed as Chief of the Royal Court, Dr. Nasser bin Rajeh bin Mohammed Al-Shahrani as Vice-President of the Human Rights Commission and Dr. Mansour bin Abdullah Al-Mansour as Assistant General President of Youth Welfare, while the decree dismissed Chairman of the Radio and Television Commission Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Hazza from his post and was replaced by Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Jasser, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Information.
Nora bint Abdullah Al Fayez, Deputy Minister for girls' affairs, and Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, Deputy Minister of Education for boys affairs at the Ministry of Education were dismissed from their posts.
The royal decree also relieved Deputy Health Minister of Health Affairs Dr. Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdullah Al-Hawasi and Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development Dr. Mohammed bin Hamzah bin Bakr Khoshim from their posts.
