Qatar Embassies Celebrate National Day

Doha, December 17 (QNA) - Qatar's embassies and diplomatic missions marked the National Day, which is celebrated on December 18 of every year, in commemoration of the state's founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani.

The Qatari diplomatic celebrations in world capitals drew high-level official and popular attendance that reflected Qatar's excellent ties with world countries.

In London, HE Qatar's Ambassador to the United Kingdom Youssef bin Ali Al Khater held a reception ceremony to celebrate Qatar's National Day at The Savoy Hotel.

Tobias Ellwood, U.K. state minister for Middle East affairs, attended the ceremony along with Baroness Morris of Bolton, head of the friends of Qatar parliamentary group; Baroness Symons, chairperson of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce; Makhdum Chishty, commander of London Metropolitan Police Service; Leo Docherty, director of the Conservative Middle East Council; Chris Doyle, director of the Council for Arab-British Understanding; Neil Crompton, director Middle East and North Africa at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO); MP James Gray; and a large number of senior officials from FCO and other ministries.

Members of the House Of Commons and House of Lords were also present along with members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the U.K., British and Arab media figures, businessmen, academics and notable figures.

Addressing the ceremony, HE the ambassador hailed the ties between Qatar and the U.K. after presenting a brief on the continuing and wise growth and development march since Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani united tribes in 1878 and founded the State of Qatar.

He praised relations with the U.K. as a great friend of Qatar, saying that British firms played a vital role in the development of the Qatari economy and are now transforming it into a knowledge-based economy by developing Qatar's human capital, innovation and trade.

On the other hand, HE Al Khater said Qatar has invested nearly $30 billion in the U.K. not only in real estate such as Harrods and The Shard but also in South Hook Gas Company, which employs hundreds from the local community and can provide the U.K. with its gas needs.

In turn, Ellwood reviewed in a speech the partnership-based deep friendship between the two countries, which covers mutual genuine interests, including the areas of defense, commerce, investment, education, science, technology and sports.

He added that he was honored to participate with HE Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi in hosting the second bilateral partnership talks in October, noting that the two sides share a vision for regional peace and stability.

Ellwood pointed to the exchange of high-level meetings between the two countries such as the visit of British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond in October, the recent signing of an agreement between Qatar Development Fund and Orbis, a nonprofit organization member of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), which was patronized by HE Assistant Foreign Minister for International Cooperation Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and Countess of Wessex Sophie Rhys-Jones.

The British official also expressed delight at learning about the recent support from Qatar to British football club Sheffield F.C., which is recognized by the Football Association as the oldest football club in the world.

He touched on Qatar's 2022 World Cup and the ambitious infrastructure development, which allowed Qatar to maintain its status as one of the fastest growing economies in the world, adding that the U.K. will continue to support Qatar's efforts in the preparation of the World Cup.

The embassy had held a special reception ceremony for Qatari citizens in the U.K. at Millennium Gloucester Hotel to mark the National Day. 

In Burn, Qatar's Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein HE Dr. Mubarak Bin Kleifeng Al-Hajeri has hosted a reception to mark Qatar National Day. 

The function was attended by government members, parliamentarians, senior officials at the Foreign Ministry and representatives of Arab and foreign missions accredited to the Swiss Confederation. 

It was also attended by a number of businessmen, heads of major Swiss banks, political, cultural, artistic, media, sport, partisan and religious figures. 

In Geneva, Qatar's permanent representative to the United Nations and other organizations in Geneva HE Faisal bin Abdullah Al Henzab has held a reception to mark Qatar National Day. 

HE Al Henzab offered congratulations and blessings to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and to the Qatari people on this dear occasion, wishing Qatar further progress and prosperity. 

He said celebrations marking the National Day represent an aluminous landmark for prosperity, stability, security and development in the state of Qatar in all fields. 

The function was attended by a number of ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the UN office at Geneva, directors and ranking officials at international organizations in Geneva, in addition senior government officials in Geneva, ranking businessmen, banks managers, media representatives, as well as a number of Qatari nationals and members of Arab community in Switzerland. 

Qatar National Bank, Qatar Airways, Katara Hospitality were also represented at the reception. 

In Ottawa, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Canada Fahd Mohamed Youssuf Kafoud has hosted a reception to mark Qatar National Day. 

The reception was attended by senior official, military commanders, members of the Senate and the House of Commons and members of diplomatic missions accredited to Canada. 

The Embassy has organized a photography exhibition depicting the comprehensive development in Qatar. 

In Pretoria, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of South Africa Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber held a reception at the Sheraton Hotel to mark Qatar National Day. 

The function was attended by Deputy Higher Education Minister Mduduzi Comfort Manana, who represented the government of South Africa, a number of civilian and military officials, parliamentarians, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to South Africa and an elite of businessmen and media representatives. 

Ambassador Al Jaber gave a speech in which he focused on the achievements realized in the State of Qatar under the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. 

He also reviewed the role of Qatar on the reginal and international arenas in conflict resolution and peace building. 

In Nairobi, HE Qatar's Ambassador to Kenya Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Abdullah held a reception ceremony on the occasion of the National Day. 

Director of the Middle East department at the Kenyan Foreign Ministry attended the ceremony along with director general of the U.N. office, members of the diplomatic corps, businessmen and media figures. 

In Montevideo, HE Qatar's Ambassador to Uruguay Mohammed Hassan Jaber Al Jaber held a reception ceremony on the occasion of Qatar's National Day. 

Senior political and military officials attended the ceremony in addition to representatives of government institutions, heads of Arab and foreign accredited diplomatic missions and a number of dignitaries, civil society leaders, businessmen and media figures. 

Addressing the ceremony, HE the ambassador said the National Day stresses Qatar's history and identity and embodies the model and hopes on which the State of Qatar was based. 

HE Al Jaber extended his sincere congratulations and blessings to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and the Qatari people on the occasion of the National Day. 

HE Qatar's Ambassador to Brunei Saleh bin Mohammed Al Nesf held a reception ceremony on the occasion of Qatar's National Day at Rizqun International Hotel. 

A large crowd led by Brunei's minister of communication, who represented Brunei's government, attended the ceremony alongside senior officials, heads of accredited diplomatic missions, media figures and Arab expats. 

In Nicosia, HE Qatar's Ambassador to Cyprus Hussein Ahmed Mohamed Al Humaid held a reception ceremony at Hilton Park Hotel on the occasion of Qatar's National Day. 

Cypriot Minister of Defense Christoforos Fokaidis attended the ceremony on behalf of the Cyprus president. A large crowd of senior political and social figures were also present as well as businessmen and heads of Arab and Foreign diplomatic missions accredited to Cyprus. 

HE the ambassador thanked the Cypriot defense minister for taking part in the celebration, wishing more progress and prosperity for bilateral ties between the two friendly countries. 

For his part, the defense minister conveyed the congratulations of Cypriot President Nikos Anastasiadis to the government and people of Qatar on the occasion of National Day and his wishes of development and growth to bilateral relations. 

The ceremony featured a photo gallery and a film narrating the story of Qatar's development in all fields as well as national music segments.  

In Kiev, HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Ukraine Jassim bin Rashid Al Khalifa has hosted a reception at the Intercontinental Hotel to mark Qatar National Day. 

The function was attended by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Mykola Movchan, Director for Middle East and Africa at the Foreign Minister Andriy Zayats, the People's Deputy of Ukraine and Chairman of the Qatari-Ukrainian Friendship Committee Andrey Artemenko, First Vice-President, Secretary General of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail I. Nepran, Director of Immigration Maksim Sokolov, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Ukraine, businessmen, representatives of government, national and academic departments, as well as the civil society, religious organizations and Arab communities in Kiev. 

Al Khalifa gave a welcome address in which he extended congratulations and blessings to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and the Qatari people on the occasion of the National Day. 

HE the Ambassador focused on state's achievements in the shadow of the wise leadership and the pioneering role the State of Qatar plays on regional and international levels since its foundation at the hands of the founder Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani and through the stages of its development and prosperity which rendered it one of the outstanding states in the Arab and international groups. 

He also touched on the bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and Ukraine, expressing pleasure over the level it had reached and wishing them further cooperation in various fields. 

The General Consulate of the State of Qatar in Houston in the United States of America held a reception to mark Qatar National Day. 

HE the Consul General of the State of Qatar in Houston Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Humaid gave a speech at the function in which he pointed out to the achievements realized under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani in various fields, underlining the importance of relations between the State of Qatar and the United States of America, particularly the State of Texas. 

Representative of the Senate Member for the State of Texas Poker Morris and Sheila Jackson congratulated HE the Consul General on the occasion of Qatar National Day. 

The function was attended by representatives of the State of Texas, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions, members of the diplomatic corps, a number of ranking personalities, physicians, directors of energy companies, businessmen as well as presidents and representatives of universities. 

The reception was also attended by a number of Qatari patients who are receiving medical treatment in Houston, employees working in the gas and oil sectors, Qatari students in Houston and Arab nationals residing in Houston. 

HE the Consul General of the State of Qatar in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China Sultan bin Ali Al-Khater has hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day. 

The function was attended by the Secretary of Justice Rimsky Yuen Kwok-keung as a representative of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, a number of officials and consuls of state accredited to the region. 

The Consul General gave a speech about the friendly bilateral relations and the trade links between Qatar and Hong Kong. 

For his part, the Minister of Justice, in a speech he gave, congratulated the State of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day.  

In Singapore, the Qatari embassy celebrated Qatar's National Day at Shangri-La Hotel. HE Qatar's Acting Charge d'Affaires Radi Swed Al Ajmi highlighted in a speech the development and prosperity Qatar is witnessing under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, stressing the depth of ties between the two countries on the economic, cultural and political level. 

For his part, the representative of the Singaporean government expressed his appreciation of the level of bilateral ties between the two countries. 

A group of senior government officials from Singapore's Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Interior attended the ceremony along with members of parliament, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the country, businessmen, dignitaries, and a number of Qatari and GCC citizens. 

HE Qatar's Acting Charge d'Affaires to El Salvador Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Horr held a reception ceremony on the occasion of Qatar's National Day at InterContinental San Salvador Hotel. 

The ceremony drew the attendance of El Salvador's ministers of defense, education, and labor and social welfare as well as a group of senior government and municipality officials in addition to heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the country, businessmen, academics and Arab expats. 

The embassy organized a photo exhibition on the National Day to highlight Qatar's monuments in the past and present.

In San Jose, Qatar's embassy in Costa Rica celebrated Qatar's National Day. Qatar's Acting Charge d'Affaires Hamad bin Zaen Al Kuwari addressed the ceremony, extending his sincere congratulations and blessings to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani on the occasion of Qatar's National Day. 

Costa Rican Vice Foreign Minister Alejandro Solano and Transport Minister Carlos Segnini attended the ceremony along with a group of senior government officials, ambassadors and representatives of accredited diplomatic missions and organizations, members of parliament, businessmen and intellectuals, and nearly 400 guests. 

In the Australian capital of Canberra, Qatar's embassy held a reception ceremony to mark Qatar's National Day. A group of senior government and military officials and members of parliament took part in the ceremony along with Arab, GCC and foreign ambassadors, representatives of commerce chambers and media and academic institutions, Australia's mufti, and leaders of Arab and Islamic expat communities. 

Qatar's Charge d'Affaires in Australia Mohamed Abdullah Al Jaber extended his warm congratulations and blessings to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on the occasion of the National Day and pointed to Qatar's achievements thanks to its wise leadership. 

Al Jaber stressed that celebrating Qatar's National Day in Australia strengthens the deep bilateral ties, voicing keenness on more mutual cooperation in all fields and adding that 2015 saw genuine growth in the Qatari-Australian ties. 

Qatar's Acting Charge d'Affaires in Bosnia and Herzegovina Abdulla Abdulhadi bin Naifa held a reception ceremony on the occasion of Qatar's National Day at Hotel Bristol Sarajevo. 

Bosnian parliament speaker, chief of staff, agriculture and irrigation minister attended the ceremony along with a group of senior government and religious officials, heads of accredited diplomatic missions and international organizations, businessmen, university presidents, journalists and public figures.  

  HE Qatar's Ambassador to Egypt Saif bin Muqaddam Al-Bueinain, who is also his Qatar's Permanent Delegate to the Arab League, has hosted here at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day. 

The reception was attended by Arab League Secretary General Dr Nabil Elaraby, Deputy Secretary General of the Arab League Ambassador Ahmed Ben Helli , two representatives of the Egyptian Defense Minister and Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for Protocol Ambassador Nabil Habashi, and a representative of Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Episcopate, Arab and foreign ambassadors and consuls accredited to Egypt, political and cultural and religious figures. 

Al-Bueinain extended sincere congratulations and blessings to the HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-hani and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani on the occasion of the National Day, wishing the State of Qatar further progress and prosperity under its wise leadership. 

HE the Ambassador said that the National Day is a great occasion, thanks to efforts made by the founder of Qatar Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammad bin Thani who has devoted his effort and thought for the establishment of a modern state accoding to possibilities available at that time. 

Al-Bueinain pointed out to the current renaissance taking place in the State of Qatar on all political, economic, social and sports levels that HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani laid their foundations since he assumed the reins in 1995 and its march had been completed by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani with steadily steps and confident vision to reflect aspirations of the Qatari people in achieving further prosperity and well-being and progress. 

Qatar's Embassy in Kuwait Celebrates the Qatari National Day. 

Qatar Embassy in Kuwait hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day. 

The reception was attended by a host of Sheikhs and officials, ministers, current and former members of parliament and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Kuwait, governors, dignitaries , citizens and a number of Qatari citizens and media representatives and residents in the State of Kuwait. 

Qatari Ambassador to Kuwait Hamad bin Ali Al Hinzab received congratulations of Kuwait's former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq al-Ghanim, First Deputy Prime Minister and foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah , Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah and former National Assembly Speaker Ahmad Al-Saadoun and a large number of sheikhs and ministers. 

In a press statement sheikhs and ministers extended congratulations to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Qatari government and people on the occasion of Qatar National Day. 

Al-Mohammad said that the Qatar National Day is a celebration for each Gulf state, congratulating HH the Emir, the Qatari government and people, while Sheikh Sabah described Qatari - Kuwaiti relations as deep-rooted and distinguished, wishing Qatar further security, stability, growth and prosperity. He announced that he will leave for Doha next month to attend Kuwaiti-Qatari committee meeting to follow up all aspects of cooperation in all fields. 

He said that the two sides are keen to open new horizons for cooperation in all fields, praising the progress and development witnessed in Qatar in recent years. 

For his part, Al-Jarallah congratulated the Qatari government, people on the occasion of Qatar National Day, praising the close and brotherly relations that combine the two countries.

In Moscow, Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Russian Federation hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day at the Four Seasons Hotel. 

The function was attended by Russian dignitaries representing the Russian Parliament and the Duma, the Foreign Ministry, officials from other Russian ministries and government, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions in Moscow and a group of Arab journalists. 

Ilyas Umakhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russian Federation also attended the function. 

At the outset of the reception, the Qatari and Russian anthems were played. Afterwards, HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Russia Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud gave a welcome address on the occasion in which he touched on the role of founder of the state Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani who assumed power on 18 December 1878. He also referred to the comprehensive development led by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani which aims at transforming Qatar into an advanced stage capable of realizing a sustainable development to become a springboard and a map of action towards prosperity, sustainable growth, equal opportunities, a state of prosperity social justice and supremacy or law. 

HE the Ambassador thanked the Russian Federation and Russian president Vladimir Putin who pointed out, during the presentation of his credentials as the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to brotherly Russia, to the need for the strengthening of relations with the State of Qatar. 

In Budapest, HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Hungary Abdullah Hussein Al Jaber has hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day at Marriott Hotel. 

The function was attended by Former Hungarian President Pal Schmidt, Minister of State at the Foreign Ministry Dr........ , a number of ranking officials, undersecretaries, parliaments members, military commanders, presidents of universities and faculty deans as well as financial institutions executives. 

The reception was also attended by political, economic, cultural, scientific figures and intellectuals, as well as members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic figures accredited to Hungary and members of Arab and Muslim community in Hungary. 

The guests offered congratulations on the occasion of the National Day, expressing the wishes to the government of Qatar and the Qatari people of further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. 

In Lisbon, HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar Adel Ali Al Khal has hosted a reception on the occasion of the National Day at Ritz- Four Seasons Hotel in the city of Lisbon. 

The function was attended by a number of official at the Presidency of the Republic, ministries of foreign affairs, interior, defence, justice and education, as well as a number of businessmen, media men, researchers and academics, in addition to Arab and foreign ambassadors accredited to Portugal. 

In Istanbul, Acting Charge d'Affaires at the General Consulate of the State of Qatar in Istanbul Badr bin Salem Al Anzi has hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day at Ciragan Palace. 

The function was attended by HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, a number of Turkish officials and diplomatic missions. 

In Madrid, HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Spain Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalil Al Abdul Ghani has hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day. 

The function was attended by the State Secretary for Infrastructure, Transport and Housing Julio Gomez-Pomar, Undersecretary of Development Mario Garzes, other officials as well as representatives for the royal court, the government, the political parties, the parliament, government and banking authorities, the private sector, a number of company directors and media representatives. 

The guests offered congratulated to the State of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day, wishing the Qatari government and people further progress and prosperity. 

During the reception a film showing the drive of development in the State of Qatar was screened.

 

In N'Djamena, HE Qatar's Ambassador to Chad Hamad bin Abdulhadi Al Hajri held a reception ceremony on Qatar's National Day at Kempinski Hotel. 

Chad's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mariam Mahamat Nour participated in the ceremony on behalf of the Chadian government, while chief of public security, representative of the supreme Islamic affairs council, heads of accredited diplomatic and consular missions and international organizations were all present as well in addition to a group of businessmen and media figures. 

HE Qatar's Ambassador to Venezuela Batal Mojab Batal Al Dosari held a reception ceremony on Qatar's National Day. Senior Venezuelan Foreign Ministry officials participated in the celebration along with high-level military officers and members of the accredited Arab and Foreign diplomatic corps. A group of religious and civil figures also took part in the event as well as businessmen, media figures and Arab expats. 

In Panama, HE Qatar's Ambassador to Panama Nasser bin Rashid Al Nuaimi held a reception ceremony to mark Qatar's National Day. Panama's Vice President and Foreign Minister Isabel de Saint Malo de Alvarado attended the ceremony along with senior judicial and municipal officials, foreign ministry officials, members of Arab and foreign accredited diplomatic missions, Arab expats, businessmen, doctors and civil society representatives. 

Addressing the ceremony, HE the ambassador hailed the friendly ties between Qatar and Panama and explained Qatar's stances regarding a set of regional issues. 

Meanwhile in Albania, Qatar's embassy marked the National Day through a reception ceremony in which President Bujar Nishani took part along with Speaker of the Parliament Ilir Meta, a number of ministers and senior officials, members of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited to Albania, and a group of businessmen and media and cultural figures. 

HE Qatar's Ambassador to Albania Youssef bin Hasan Al Saie gave a speech in which he highlighted Qatar's achievements under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani on all fronts. He extended his gratitude to the Albanian president, parliament speaker and other senior officials for participating in the National Day celebrations. 

In Macedonia, HE Qatar's Ambassador Hassan bin Abdulla Al Mahmoud held a reception ceremony on Qatar's National Day. Heads and members of the diplomatic missions accredited to Macedonia participated in the event along with parliament members, a number of leading businessmen, heads of non-government organizations, and representatives of cultural, art and media institutions. 

 

HE Qatar's Ambassador to Italy Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Maliki Al Juhani held a reception ceremony in celebration of Qatar National Day. 

The event was attended by HE Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah , Italian Foreign Minister Paulo Jantelaun ,HE Assistant Foreign Minister for International Cooperation Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, a group of Italian politicians, representatives of the Italian government along with a large number of Italian economic , social and academic figures as well as Ambassadors of Friendly Countries in Italy. 

HE Qatar's Ambassador to Oman Ali bin Fahd Al Hajri has hosted a reception at Grand Hyatt on the occasion of Qatar National Day. 

The reception was attended by Darwish bin Ismaeel bin Ali al Balushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs along with Ministers, undersecretaries , members of Oman's shura council and the State Council , a number of senior officers at the Sultan's Armed Forces , some officials at Sultanate Ministry of Foreign Affairs and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Sultanate, businessmen and journalists. 

 

HE Qatar's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer Al-Thani held today a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day The reception was attended by Governor of Riyadh Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud ,Undersecretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Relations Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer Al Saud , Second Commander of Operation Decisive Storm Prince Bandar Bin Mohammad Bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud along with Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Protocol Affairs Azzam bin Abdul Karim Al-Gain . 

It was also attended by the ambassadors of Arab and Islamic states and foreign countries accredited to the Kingdom and a number of diplomats and Saudi dignitaries and Qatari students. 

HE Qatar's Ambassador to China Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri held in Beijing at Four Seasons Hotel a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day . 

The event also attended by the Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming , a number of senior officials at the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the Chinese Communist Party and Chinese National Development and Reform Commission , ministries of defense, trade, culture and representatives Chinese people's association for friendship with foreign countries , Chinese- Islamic Association , Chinese women's bodies and Chinese oil and gas companies. 

In his speech, HE the Ambassador lauded distinguished ties between , emphasizing the historic visit paid by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to China in November 2014 during which HH the Emir signed a number of important agreements that culminated in the announcement of strategic partnership transforms ties between the two countries to a new level.

HE Qatar's Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Mansour Hadi bin Nasser Al-Hajri held a reception on the occasion of the National Day. 

The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs. 

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed stressed that the UAE shares the State of Qatar joys on the occasion of the National Day and wishes its government and its people more progress and prosperity, and conveyed congratulations of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the UAE and people to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani and to the Government and the people of the State of Qatar on this occasion, wishing them peace and stability.

The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, and Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Development and International Cooperation, . Hussein bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, and Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs. 

HE Qatar's Ambassador to India Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Abdullah held a reception to mark the National Day of the State of Qatar. 

The ceremony was attended by Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas representatives of the Indian government, Anil Wadhwa, undersecretary of Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Middle affairs , Mardol Kumar, Assistant Undersecretary of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Gulf, as well as a number of officials and political and intellectual figures and businessmen . 

The ceremony was also attended by a number of heads of diplomatic missions accredited to India, and corporate executives, journalists and media representatives from the scientific and cultural institutions and notables of Indian society. 

In Naypyidaw, HE Hassan bin Mohammed Al Emadi, Qatar's Ambassador to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar held a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar. 

The ceremony was attended by a number of ministers, public figures, ambassadors, journalists and a number of members of the Arab communities in Myanmar. 

HE the Ambassador extended deepest congratulations and blessings to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al- Thani, and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, on the occasion of the National Day. 

In Kuala Lumpur, The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Malaysia held a reception at Marriott hotel in central Kuala Lumpur. to mark the National Day of the State of Qatar, in commemoration of the founder of the State of Qatar the late Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani. 

The ceremony was attended by Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, Minister of Urban Development and Housing as well as local government representatives and a number of businessmen, media persons, and the heads and members of diplomatic missions accredited in Kuala Lumpur. 

HE Issa Bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Qatar's Ambassador to Malaysia gave a speech in which he referred to the achievements of the State of Qatar under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al -Thani, in various fields and wished them good health and happiness to the King of Malaysia and the Malaysian government and people further progress and prosperity. 

The representative of the Malaysian government Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan delivered a speech in which he wished good health and happiness of HHthe Emir and to the people and the Government of the State of Qatar further development and prosperity. 

In Islamabad, HE Saqr bin Mubarak Al Mansouri, Qatar's Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan held a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar The ceremony was attended gathering of elite Pakistani society, led by a number of ministers, senior officials and a number of businessmen. 

a number of cultural and media programs were held including publications which highlight various aspects of progress and achievements in the State of Qatar . 

In Stockholm, HE Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Qatar's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden, held a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar. 

The ceremony saw the presence of many distinguished representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and government institutions. 

The ceremony was also attended by heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to Sweden, as well as many social and religious dignitaries. 

In Hanoi, HE Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al Hamar, Qatar's Ambassador to Vietnam held a reception the Melia Hotel in the center of the capital, Hanoi on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar, to commemorate the founder of the State of Qatar late Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani. 

The ceremony was attended by a number of senior officials and a number of heads of Arab diplomatic and foreign missions accredited to Hanoi as well as members of Arab and Muslim communities. 

In Guangzhou, HE Ali bin Fuhaid Ghanem Al Hajri, Consul General of the State of Qatar in the Guangzhou, People's Republic of China held a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar at "Four Seasons" Hotel . 

Attended the reception, Mr. and be Deputy Director General of the Secretariat of Guangdong Provincial Government, (Deputy Governor) and Vice Mayor of Guangzhou City as well as a number of officials of the Government of Guangzhou City, and a number of guests from the public and private sectors.
