OPEC Honors Al Sada, Recognizes his Achievements during Qatar's Presidency 2016

Abu Dhabi, January 14 (QNA) - The Conference of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC)has honored HE the Minister Energy and Industry Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, the Former President of the Conference, marking the end of the State of Qatar's presidency for the organization through 2016.

This came during a during a ceremony held in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi, in recognition of the outstanding role played by Dr. Al Sada during the Qatar presidency of the Conference of OPEC, which resulted in the historic agreement reached by the member states on reducing oil production.

On this occasion, Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid Al Falih, the new president of the Conference of OPEC, presented a commemorative gift to HE Dr. Al Sada.

Eng. Al Falih praised the efforts of HE the Minister of Energy and Industry during his presidency of the organization in a period marked by challenges. (QNA)
