Doha, August 02 (QNA) - Al Sailiya will play Mesaimeer on Thursday in their first warm-up match ahead of the 2017-18 season.

Al Sailiya will travel to Tunisia for an external preseason camp from Aug. 6 to 29. The team will play four friendlies against Tunisian and Algerian teams to prepare for the new Qatar Stars League season. The club will be training in Tunisia for the second consecutive year, as the Tunisian city of Tabarka hosted last season's camp.

The club signed Nadir Belhadj and kept last season's foreign trio; Romania's Dragos Grigore and Valentin Lazar, and Uzbekistan's Temurkhuja Abdukholiqov.

Al Sailiya are keen on a better season than last year's campaign, in which they finished eighth on 31 points and were knocked out of the third round of HH the Emir's Cup by Al Khor. (QNA)
