Doha, August 07 (QNA) - The State of Qatar welcomed the signing of the final agreement to end the civil war and share power in the Republic of South Sudan, which was signed in Khartoum, praising the active and pivotal role made by Khartoum in bringing the views closer together and bridging the gap between the parties until they reached this important moment.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the State of Qatar looks forward that the agreement would represent a new beginning in the way of consolidating the foundations of stability and security, and through which all parties could turn a page on a war-laden past.

The State of Qatar urges all parties to the agreement and relevant regional and international institutions to cooperate and work constructively to support South Sudan and its people in order to activate and maintain the agreement and resume the development process, the statement added. (QNA)
