Abu Dhabi, January 29 (QNA) - Qatar's striker Almoez Ali scored his side second goal in the 4-0 victory over the United Arab Emirates in the semifinal of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup to raise his tally to eight goals in the tournament.

Almoez leveled the highest ever goals tally scored in a single Asian Cup tournament scored by Iran's Ali Daei in the 1996 edition of the tournament. Almoez has the opportunity to increase his tally when Qatar take on Japan in the final of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup on Friday. 

 Following the spectacular 4-0 over the UAE in the semifinal, Almoez Ali said that the Qatari team played an outstanding match against the UAE, adding that the players followed the instructions of coaching the staff, which was the key for the victory. Almoez expressed happiness following the huge win, pointing out that the team focuses on the final match against Japan on Friday. (QNA)
