Qatar Airways Technical Department Graduates its First Batch of Aircraft Mechanics
Doha, February 17 (QNA) - Qatar Airways is pleased to announce that 11 successful candidates have officially completed the Aircraft Mechanics Apprenticeship Programme, a three-year academic and practical programme designed to ensure the quality and workmanship of Qatar Airways mechanics, while also assisting the airline in implementing its future growth plans. Upon completion of the programme, candidates are awarded an Aircraft Mechanic Category A certificate, and are automatically enrolled into a two-year bond with the Light Base Maintenance Department.

Qatar Airways Maintenance Training (QAMT) is internationally recognized for its exceptional training standards and service quality. QAMT was awarded the Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO) approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Qatar Civil Aviation Authority. QAMTs facilities include 10 classrooms equipped with newly-installed Airbus Competence Training (ACT) and Boeing Desk Top Simulation (DTS) training media, which provide engineering students with a training experience utilising access to virtual aircraft.
