Rawdat Al Khail Health Center to Operate Emergency Unit in April

Doha, March 25 (QNA) - The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) announced the start of the emergency unit at Rawdat Al Khail Health Center, as of next April. At a press conference, Director of the Northern Region of PHCC Health Centers Dr Nada Al Emadi said that Rawdat Al Khail Health Center will open the urgent cases service on April 7, 24/7 a week and pointed out that the center's services target adults, and urgent cases, especially fractures and minor burns. Al Emadi stressed that the services provided by Rawdat Al Khail Health Center are not new but have been activated in five centers, namely Al Shamal, Al Kaaban, Al Shahaniyah, Al Gharafa and Abu Bakr Al Siddiq, pointing out that Rawdat Al Khail Health Center was chosen to provide this service due to the large number of patients registered with the center. Al Emadi added that the emergency unit is expected to be opened at Muaither Center this year, while other centers such as Al Thumama, Leabaib and Umm Salal will provide this service next year, noting the possibility of increasing working hours at Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Centre, as this service ends at the end of the official working hours. Al Emadi continued stating that children reception would be extended in all centers with emergency units in the near future. Director of the Central Region of PHCC Health Centers Dr Fathia Al Meer said that the aim of the service is to accommodate the urgent conditions and provide them with comprehensive and urgent service 24/7 a week, stating that the service is provided by a selection of the qualified doctors specialized in handling emergency cases. 

 Director of Rawdat Al Khail Health Center Dr Abdullah Alnaama said that the center, the medical staff and all the departments are ready to receive urgent cases and deal with them in a professional manner to relieve the pressure on HMC emergency Unit. Rawdat Al Khail Health Centre also offers preventive and curative services such as vaccinations and mental health services, cancer screening services, physiotherapy, dermatology clinics, family medicine clinics, vaccination clinics, non-communicable diseases clinic, antenatal care clinic, healthy child clinic, ear, nose and throat clinic, dental clinic and ophthalmology clinic. The center serves the areas of Fereij Abdul Aziz, Bin Mahmoud, Al Nejma, Al Mansoura and Al Muntazah areas. (QNA)
