Doha, August 11 (QNA) - Al Ahli SC announced Sunday that they signed Australian defender Shane Lowry for one season, after the player passed his medical. Al Ahli had also signed Abel Hernandez, Hernan Perez, Mohammed Diame, and Nabil El Zhar. Lowry completes the total number of foreign players Al Ahli can sign for next season. The team held a 20-day training camp in The Netherlands in the summer, during which they played a total of five friendlies. Al Ahli will look to improve on their showing of last year, which saw them finish fifth in the league with 34 points. (QNA)
