PHCC Designates 15 Health Centers to Operate during National Sports Day

Doha, February 08 (QNA) - The Primary Health Care Cooperation (PHCC) identified 15 health centers to operate continuously from 7a.m. to 11p.m. during National Sports Day on Tuesday.
The PHCC stated that the health centers that will operate on Tuesday are the centers of Al Wakra, Airport, Umm Ghuwailina, Omar Bin Al Khattab, West Bay, Al Sheehaniya, Abu Baker Al Siddiq, Muaither, Al Rayyan, Mesaimeer, Al Ruwais, Al Khor, Leabaib, Gharrafat Al Rayyan and Madinat Khalifa, while Al Jumailiya health center will operate on a call-up system.
With regard to the health centers dedicated to examine and keep suspected cases of infection with the coronavirus (COVID-19), PHCC stated that the Rawdat Al Khail and Umm Salal Health Centers will work continuously over a 24-hour period.
Health centers that will be closed on sports day are: Al Daayen, Al Wajbah, Al Waab, Al Thumama, Abu Nakhla, Qatar University, Leghwairiya and Al Karana, and Al Kaaban Health Center, except for the urgent cases unit at the center, which will operate 24 hours.
Concerning the appointments for specialized clinics in the alternating health centers, the two eye clinics in the centers of Leabaib and the Airport will operate in two shifts, in the morning from 7a.m. to 2p.m., and the evening from 4p.m. until 10p.m., while the ENT clinics in the centers of Leabaib and Mesaimeer will operate on two morning shifts from 7a.m. to 2p.m and in the evening from 4p.m. until 10p.m.
The dermatology clinics at Leabaib and Muaither Health Centers will also operate in two shifts, first in the morning from 7a.m. to 2p.m. and second in the evening from 4p.m. to 10p.m., while dental clinics will operate continuously from 7a.m. to 10p.m.
The PHCC set working hours for urgent cases units to 24 hours a day in Al Ruwais, Al Kaaban, Umm Salal, Gharrafat Al Rayyan, Al Sheehaniya, Abu Baker Al Siddiq, Muaither, and Rawdat Al Khail Health Centers, while the community call center will operate 24 hours.
With regard to COVID-19 examination service through vehicles, PHCC noted that this service will be available according to the appointments specified for patients in advance in the health centers as follows: First: The service will only be available in the morning period from 7a.m. to 2p.m. at Al Thumama Center, West Bay Center and Al Khor Center.
Second: The service will operate in the evening period only from 4p.m. to 11p.m. in the centers of Leabaib, Al Wajbah and Al Rayyan.
Third: the examination service through vehicles will be carried out in two shifts in the morning from 7a.m. to 2p.m. and from 4p.m. to 11p.m in four health centers: Al Wakra, Al Waab, Mesaimeer and Abu Baker Al Siddiq. (QNA)
