Doha, July 31 (QNA) - The Public Prosecution has launched a new version of the electronic services application on smart mobile devices, in order to facilitate access to services and information, using various mobile platforms and operating systems.
The application, launched by the Information Technology Department at the Public Prosecution, complements other electronic services that aim to deliver digital Public Prosecution services to the public, such as the website and self-service devices located in various locations.
The new Public Prosecution electronic services program is the second version of the application launched in 2016. The new version provides the same electronic services that can be accessed through the Public Prosecution's e-services portal.
The electronic services application provides many services, including inquiring about communications, requests and rulings, registering and following up on complaints, submitting requests, electronic payment of fines, viewing session dates, obtaining a photocopy of the communication file and many other services.
The application of the electronic services of the Public Prosecution is available to all categories of customers, including individuals, law firms, government agencies, and private companies.
The Manager of Information Technology Department Maryam Haji Abdullah, said that the Public Prosecution's launch of the new version of the mobile application comes within the framework of the constant endeavor to develop services that are provided to all categories of customers, as the Public Prosecution constantly seeks to raise the level of services and work to make them available in an accessible manner, with high quality and efficiency, using modern technological solutions and the advantages and advanced capabilities they provide.
She pointed out that the new application is available on Apple and Android devices in both Arabic and English, and it also allows the possibility of logging in through the government authentication system, while the Public Prosecution provides a technical support center that can be contacted by direct contact or through e-mail.
The Manager of Information Technology Department explained that the past period witnessed a great demand for digital services provided by government agencies to the public, especially with the exceptional circumstances imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic, as the percentage of services provided through the electronic services portal of the Public Prosecution reached about 71 percent, compared to 29 percent provided through the Public Service Center in the Public Prosecution Building.
She stressed that the Public Prosecution is working to keep pace with this development in the use of electronic services by supporting digital transformation efforts and focusing on providing good and effective services using various channels for all categories of customers.
She also noted that the Public Prosecution is working permanently with the Ministry of Transport and Communications and Qatar Assistive Technology Center (Mada) to achieve access requirements for people with special needs. In this context, the Public Prosecution obtained a certificate of accreditation for digital access, while it is currently working to obtain accreditation for the mobile application in the coming period.
The new application of the Public Prosecution provides many electronic services for individuals, law firms, digital services for institutions and private companies, and digital services for government agencies and institutions. (QNA)
