Germany Summons Russian Ambassador over Conflict with Ukraine
Berlin, February 24 (QNA) - Germany's Foreign Office summoned Russian Ambassador in Berlin Sergey Nechaev on Wednesday in response to the escalating Ukraine conflict.
Government sources told German news agency (dpa) that the ministry's political director Tjorven Bellmann spoke to Ambassador Sergey Nechaev. Details were not given on what they discussed.
In response to the Kremlin recognizing the breakaway regions of Luhansk and Donetsk in eastern Ukraine as independent, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock sharply criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin. (QNA)
