Doha, March 14 (QNA) - President of the Qatar and West Asian Volleyball Associations Ali Ghanim Al Kuwari praised the victory of the Police SC Volleyball Team for the second time in a row with the title of the 38th GCC Volleyball Club Championship that was held in Bahrain.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Kuwari said that this achievement comes a few days after Al Rayyan team won the title of the Arab Championship held in Tunisia, stressing that the good results of the Qatari teams externally come as a result of the strong level of local competitions organized by the Federation.
Al Kuwari pointed out that the police SC team deserved the title of the Gulf Championship after winning all the matches it played, expressing his happiness with the victory which is a new achievement for Qatari volleyball, which has become at the forefront of the world, continental and regional rankings after the Qatari team qualified for the World Championship finals that will be held this year, In addition to the distinction of the Qatari beach volleyball team, which is at the fore in the world rankings.
Al Kuwari stressed that the achievements that Qatari sports in general and volleyball in particular have been achieving in the recent period come as a result of the great support they enjoy from the state. (QNA)
