Polish President : Only Ukraine Has the Right to Self-determination

Kyiv, May 22 (QNA) - Polish President Andrzej Duda affirmed Ukraine's right to determine its options and decisions in any talks with Russia, calling on Moscow to withdraw from all Ukrainian lands.
The Polish President, in a speech today before the Verkhovna Rada, said there are voices in Europe that demand Ukraine, recognition of Russia's demands..''.I would like to say clearly that only Ukraine has the right to self-determination.'' He stressed the need for the international community to demand Russia to end the aggression and fully withdraw from Ukrainian territory.
Duda also called on the European Union to make greater efforts to move away from the Russian economy, and for Ukraine to become a member of the European Union.
This is the second visit of the Polish president to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine on February 24.
Duda had said in press statements recently, that he talks to Zelensky almost daily, and that he is looking forward to helping Ukraine transfer its agricultural crops of grain to global markets, in the shadow of the naval blockade imposed by Russia on the Black Sea.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, the Polish government announced that it had provided Ukraine with a lot of military equipment, such as anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, mortars and ammunition, as well as drones. (QNA)
