Qatar Claims Padel Title in GCC Games Kuwait 2022

Kuwait, May 28 (QNA) - Qatar's padel team won the gold medal in the 3rd GCC Games Kuwait 2022, after beating its Kuwaiti peers 3-0 on Saturday.
On the other hand, the Qatari handball team beat its Kuwaiti counterpart 24/23 today in its third match in the GCC Games Kuwait 2022.
The Qatari team raised its score with this victory - which is its third in a row - to 6 points at the top of the standings, to ensure obtaining the gold or silver medals in the final match against the Bahraini team on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Qatari women's basketball team achieved two victories today in the launch of the competitions for this game in the GCC Games.
The Qatari team defeated its Omani peers 16-12; and the Kuwaiti team 12-10. However, the team lost for Bahrain 8-6, and for Saudi Arabia 13-11.
The 3rd GCC Games Kuwait 2022 kicked off on May 16 with the participation of nearly 1,700 male and female athletes from the six Gulf countries, competing in 16 different sports: handball, volleyball, basketball, futsal, swimming, athletics, archery, karate, judo, fencing, tennis, cycling, ice hockey, table tennis and padel, in addition to electronic games.
