Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra to Perform Arabic Golden Age Classics at Opera House - Katara on Thursday

Doha, June 05 (QNA) - Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra will perform in the Opera House of Katara Cultural Village, this Thursday evening, in a concert under the theme of Classics from the Golden Age of Arabic Cinema, featuring in addition the music of Qatari musicians.
The concert will be led by Conductor Nagui Nayer, and performed by Vocalist-composer Nasser Sahim, and Egyptian singer Mai Farouk. The concert will feature high caliber Qatari artist Ali Abdul Sattar as a Guest of Honor.
The music of Arabic Cinema Golden Age singers such as Umm Kulthum, Sayed Darwish, Fairuz, Faraj Abdul Karim, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, and many more will be performed.
Guest of Honor Qatari artist Ali Abdul Sattar born in 1952, commenced his artistic career in the 1970s with popular songs that together with his sweet voice played a crucial role in getting him to the top. Abdul Satter trained under the late Qatari musician Abdul Aziz Nasser Al-Obaidan, who also composed some of his songs. Abdul Satter participated in several operettas such as "The Arab Dream" and "Green Qatar". (QNA)
