Oman, Tanzania Establish Joint Investment Fund

Muscat, June 13 (QNA) - The Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi announced today the establishment of an investment fund between the Sultanate of Oman and Tanzania which is devoted to carrying out investment in projects of multiple sectors, including agriculture, marine fishing, and mining.
The Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman anticipated the surge of trade deals between the two countries, especially after signing several memoranda of understanding today, with the existence of agreements at the level of the Oman Investment Authority and the competent Tanzanian body. He pointed out that the two countries would later sign memoranda of understanding pertaining to numerous economic, investment, and tourism fields, in addition to the energy field.
The Sultanate of Oman and Tanzania signed today numerous memoranda of understanding including fields of energy, tourism, natural resources, higher education, training, and national museums on the sidelines of the current visit of the President of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan to the Sultanate of Oman.
