QBIC Concludes Project Presentation Day Event for Current Year

Doha, June 14 (QNA) - Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC), the largest development business incubator in the Middle East and North Africa -affiliated to Qatar Development Bank- concluded today the project presentation Day event for the current year.
The event witnessed the rollout of the projects of 12 startup companies in multiple fields and sectors, in the presence of a number of investors, experts and workers in the Qatari entrepreneurship system, under the strategic sponsorship of Qatar National Bank (QNB), and a host of partners, including Ooredoo, QFC, in addition to business environment partner (Invest Qatar) and technology partner (Microsoft).
The list included the names of the Companies that have qualified and offered their projects, including AREVA , Cleveric solutions LLC, CyberG-tech, Halaly, OBI Coach, Coco Loco, and other companies.
In addition to the presentations, the event included bilateral meeting sessions between the founders of the participating companies and interested investors to further discuss the possible investment opportunities, in addition to expanding the cooperative relations network in the Qatari entrepreneurship system. The event also featured a panel discussion on promoting Angel investing, in which a wide range of experts had rolled out their concepts and highlighted the feasibility of converting investment challenges into an opportunity for business growth, through focusing on the success experience in this field, as well as the possibility of obtaining the essential fund by the nascent companies at the early stages for the sake of strengthening their success opportunities.
Acting CEO of Qatar Development Bank (QDB) Abdulrahman bin Hesham Al Sowaidi hailed the efforts of the organizers of Project Presentation Day and affirmed the importance of its presence in the Qatari entrepreneurship system, as it gives many innovative projects a greater opportunity for growth and development.
The Executive Director of Advisory and Incubation at Qatar Development Bank, Ibrahim Abdulaziz Al Mannai said that Project Presentation Day at Qatar Business Incubator of QDB has become a distinguished support platform for entrepreneurship in the state of Qatar, noting that the event represents a leading opportunity for emerging companies and investors, as it offers opportunities for future cooperation and fruitful partnerships.
