Algerian President Directs Government to Reconsider Complimentary Budget

  • Algeria

Algiers, June 19 (QNA) - Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune directed his country's government to reconsider the draft law of the complimentary budget of 2022 in accordance with a realistic and rational vision that would maintain the major financial balances of the state, take into account filling the void of lack of resources, based on the effects of the 2022 Finance Law, and alleviate the burdens resulting from the measures taken by the government.
President Tebboune ordered, during a cabinet meeting he chaired today, that the law should not include any new tax, and should not in any way affect the price structure currently approved, in order to preserve the purchasing power and social gains approved by Algeria for the benefit of its citizens, stressing that the weak and middle-income people should not be the most tax-paying group.
