10th Edition of Cityscape Qatar 2022 Kicks Off

Doha, June 20 (QNA) - Under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, the activities of the tenth edition of Cityscape Qatar 2022, which is held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from 20-22 June, kicked off Monday.
The exhibition, which was inaugurated by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Sultan bin Rashid Al Khater, hosts a group of the most prominent real estate development companies, with the participation of more than 60 exhibitors from seven countries, including Qatar, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Cyprus, the UAE, Egypt and Pakistan. The exhibition highlights the prominent real estate development projects in the country, which are implemented by the most prominent Qatari real estate companies.
The first day of the exhibition witnessed the opening of the Cityscape 2022 dialogue sessions, in line with the main pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030, which is based on sustainability, flexibility, acceptable costs and luxury.
First day activities included talks on the digital transformation of the real estate sector in Qatar, with the participation of leading figures from real estate and hotel companies, highlighting the efforts of the hospitality sector in the country in terms of environment and sustainability, while the participation of other companies focused on sustainable construction operations, and the future of the real estate sector in Qatar after the conclusion of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
In his speech during the event, Orjan Lundberg, Sustainability and Environmental Subject Matter Expert at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), said that they believe that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has been and continues to be a catalyst for national development at all levels, including reducing carbon emissions, pointing out that stainability has been a central theme of this event since the planning stage.
Also, he added that the comments received by SC from FIFA, so far, indicate that this program is the most comprehensive in terms of sustainability, stressing the need to support the real estate and hospitality sectors in achieving a significant boost to sustainability at the national level.
The exhibition's agenda covers various talks including: The big opportunities for Qatar's real estate: A macroeconomic perspective; The future of real estate market of Qatar Post World Cup 2022; Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) - The game changer for the GCC real estate sector.
Cityscape aims to shed light on the most prominent real estate projects in the country and provide a platform for communication between home buyers, investors, and specialists in the field of design and construction in the real estate sector. (QNA)
