New Delhi, June 21 (QNA) - At least 137 people were killed in northern and northeastern part of India due to monsoon rain related incidents including floods, landslides and lightning.
The state of Assam, in northeastern India, was the most affected with 73 people killed, local media reported.
The Army, Air Force, the state Disaster Response Force, the National Disaster Response Force and various state organs have been pressed into service to carry out rescue and relief operations in the affected areas. (QNA)
