Seoul, June 23 (QNA) - South Korea's currency on Thursday fell below the 1,300-won level against the US dollar for the first time in 12 years and 11 months.
In Seoul foreign exchange market today, the exchange rate of the won against the dollar is 1,300 won, up 2.7 won from yesterday.
It marked the first time since July 14, 2009 that the won has fallen through the 1,300-won level in intraday trading.
The dollar continues to strengthen with the steps of the US Federal Reserve towards monetary tightening, coinciding with the Ukrainian crisis, and the closure measures to contain the Coronavirus in China. (QNA)
