Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs, UK Minister of State For Asian And Middle Eastern Affairs Discuss Latest Developments on Palestinian Arena

Ramallah, June 23 (QNA) - The Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad al-Maliki discussed today with the UK Minister of State for Asian and Middle Eastern Affairs Amanda Melling, the latest developments on the Palestinian arena.
During the meeting, Riyad al-Maliki reviewed the assaults against the Palestinian people carried out by the Israeli occupation forces and its settlers, especially the events unfolding in the occupied city of Jerusalem and its old city and its neighborhoods of daily assaults with the aim of effacement and emptying them from the people.
He warned against the escalation of the Israeli governments settlement construction in the West Bank, especially in Jerusalem by endorsing multiple settlement projects. He added that what is being carried out by the occupation forces in Masafer Yatta, including demolition of Palestinian citizens' homes and displacing them from their land, is a crime punishable by international law.
He called on the international community to halt the policy of double standards, and to put an immediate end to the impunity of the Israeli entity as an occupying power, and act beyond the statements and condemnations, and make action to halt these assaults For her part, UK Minister of State for Asian and Middle Eastern Affairs affirmed her country's position in support of the two-state solution and its commitment to that, in addition to its rejection of the policy of annexation and settlement.
