Paris, June 23 (QNA) - The European Ariane 5 rocket, which was launched today from the Kourou Space Center in French Guiana, panned out in placing two Malaysian and Indian communications satellites into orbit.
The two satellites, with a total payload of 9.8 tons, are intended for communications and television broadcasting services via satellite.
The Malaysian Myasat-3D satellite will be able to provide high-speed internet services and will be used by the South Korean Space Agency to improve the country's air traffic management.
The European Space Agency is supposed to launch two Ariane 5 and two Vega rockets, smaller than the Ariane rocket, by the end of this year. (QNA)
