Conference of Liaison Officers of Arab Regional Offices on Boycott of Israel Concludes its Works

Cairo, August 01 (QNA) - The two-day Conference of the Liaison Officers of the Arab Regional Offices on the Boycott of Israel, which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, concluded its works on Monday in Cairo.
The participants in the 95th session of the conference praised the progress and impact of the international Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement in confronting the occupation and settler colonialism and Israeli apartheid, in order to achieve justice and enable the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination and to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The participants in the conference issued a final statement that included a set of recommendations, in accordance with the principles and provisions of the Arab boycott established from the inclusion of companies on the boycott list, or warning or removing other companies from the ban list in accordance with their response to the provisions of the boycott, in addition to following up and documenting the activities and events carried out by the international BDS movement and valuing its achievements.
The conference commended the positions of some international bodies and companies that championed justice and the rights of the Palestinian people, rejecting the settlement and colonial settlement projects in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, which included in the report of the General Secretariat on the follow-up and documentation of the activities and achievements of the international boycott movement.
The conference affirmed the importance of following up and promoting the action of the Arab boycott organs and their efforts and activities devoted to implementing the provisions of the Arab boycott, based on the decision of the Tunis Summit held on March 31, 2019, which stipulated that "boycott the Israeli occupation and its colonial regime is one of the effective and legitimate means to resist and end it and save the two-state solution and the peace process.
