GCC Secretary-General Commends UN Special Envoy's Announcement to Extend Truce in Yemen

Riyadh, August 03 (QNA) - Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Al Hajraf, welcomed  on Wednesday the announcement of UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg, to extend the truce with the same terms for another two months.
Secretary-General stressed that the agreement to extend the truce reflects the importance the international community attaches to the Yemeni crisis.
Al Hajraf valued the efforts of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen and the leadership of the Arab coalition to support legitimacy and all parties in extending the truce, noting that this will result in continuing to create the atmosphere for the Yemeni parties to start the political process and reach a comprehensive peace that achieves security and stability in Yemen.
