QOC Partakes in OCA's International Symposium for Athletes' Committees

Kuwait, August 04 (QNA) - Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) participated in an international symposium of athletes' committees organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) with the participation of 98 people representing 35 Asian Olympic committees.
Nada Mohammed Wafa, Secretary of the Athletes Committee, Maryam Al Suwaidi, a member of this committee, and Khaled Makki, executive secretary of the committee, represented QOC in the symposium.
The symposium touched on several topics, including preventing competition tampering, protecting athletes, the role and responsibility of athletes' committees and raising awareness.
Chair of International Olympic Committee (IOC) Athletes' Commission Emma Terho, Chair of OCA Athletes' Committee Mikako Kotani of Japan, and Vice Chair of OCA Athletes' Committee Mohammad Tayyab Ikram spoke in the symposium. (QNA)
