"East 2022" Strategic Exercise Begins in Eastern Russia
Moscow, September 01 (QNA) - The Vostok 2022 (East 2022) exercise began on Thursday in eastern Russian with the participation of 50000 soldiers.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that the exercises will be held with the participation of military personnel from 14 countries, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, China, and other countries.
Russian Deputy Defence Minister Lieutenant General Yunus-Bek Evkurov said that exercises within an alliance of countries help crystallize a unified concept of organizing the training, management and interaction of forces at the operational and tactical levels, and they strengthen the friendship between military.
The exercises, which will be led by Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Military Valery Gerasimov will include carrying out defensive and offensive operations in seven fields of the Eastern Military District. (QNA)
