Security Operation in Somalia Kills 18 Al-Shabab Militants

Mogadishu, September 15 (QNA) - At least 14 militants of Al-Shabab movement linked to Al-Qaeda were killed in a security operation by the Somali armed forces, in Buq Aqable area, targeting one of the main bases for Al-Shabab terrorists in Hiran region.
SNA commander Odowaa Rageh confirmed that at least 18 militants were killed as a result of the operation carried by DANAB forces.
Al-Shabab movement, linked to Al-Qaeda, still poses a security threat to Mogadishu, as many of their attacks killed hundreds of civilians and security officials. (QNA)
