Doha, September 21 (QNA) - The Qatar Satellite Company (Es'hailSat) announced the expansion of its partnership with QNEXUS on Es'hail 1satellite which covers the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region at 25.5 degrees east.
Chief Executive Officer of Es'hailSat Ali Ahmed Al-Kuwari said - in a statement for the company - that the company is pleased to expand its very-small-aperture terminal (VSAT) services and to develop its relationship with QNEXUS company. He added that the highly reliable data services provided by Es'hailSat company lay the foundations to provide a strong network that QNEXUS company needs to build its services to its customers.
The QNEXUS company proved that (Ku) band frequencies on Es'hail 1satellite can provide high-speed connectivity across Qatar and MENA region. In addition to providing communication services to oil and gas sectors, and developing portable and mobile satellite systems that can be used to provide communication for educational purposes in remote areas.
The network will primarily serve the needs of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabi, and the Sultanate of Oman and will be managed in cooperation between QNEXUS and Es'hailSat teams in Doha.
QNEXUS is a technology research company based at the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP). Since its launch in 2009, the company has been developing customized communications services, real-time applications and telecommunication solutions that are tailored to provide enhanced services in remote areas and hazardous environments.
