Doha, October 02 (QNA) - The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) celebrates Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which is marked in October every year, by organizing events and activities to raise awareness of cybersecurity under the slogan "for a safe cyberspace".
In a statement today, the agency confirmed that the events aim to educate community members about cyber risks and how to address them, in addition to spreading awareness of the culture of cybersecurity and creating a safe cyber environment for community members and national institutions.
Among the most prominent events organized by the agency, is an intensive advertising campaign consisting of a group of advertisements in various regions of the country, through which it provides awareness tips to the public to protect their personal data, in addition to organizing a series of lectures and workshops that enhance the concept of individuals protecting their cyberspace.
The agency will honor eight official bodies, including the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Primary Healthcare Corporation, Kahramaa, Qatar Aluminum and Qatar University, in appreciation of the efforts of these bodies in enhancing the capabilities of their employees and passing the cybercrime prevention program offered by the agency to protect cyberspace in Qatar. Also, 15 students will be honored for passing the levels of the program, in addition to setting up the agency's pavilion on the campus of Qatar University to familiarize students with the role of the agency, its various specializations, and its goals of maintaining cybersecurity in the country.
