Doha, October 03 (QNA) - The State of Qatar announced that it is following with great concern the current developments in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis concerning Russia's announcement of the annexation of Ukrainian lands, stressing the necessity of respecting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders and pursuing dialogue as a way to resolve the crisis.

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the position of the State of Qatar on the need to adhere to the United Nations Charter and the well-established principles of international law, including obligations under the Charter to settle international disputes by peaceful means.

The ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's full readiness to contribute to any international and regional effort to find an immediate peaceful solution to this crisis and its keenness to keep channels of communication open with all concerned parties. (QNA)
