Civil Service Bureau Organizes Introductory Workshop on Performance Appraisal Management System in Government Agencies

Doha, October 13 (QNA) - The Civil Service and Governmental Development Bureau organized today a workshop entitled "Performance Evaluation Management System", with the aim of introducing the new methodology of the performance system, which will be actually applied in the coming year 2023 in government agencies subject to the human resources law.
Planning and quality managers, human resources managers and ambassadors of the system in government agencies participated in the workshop, in order to inform them of the main guidelines for building the future vision of the government sector, which are based on efficiency, innovation, responsibility, commitment and integrity at work, and because of its positive impact in the interest of the employee and the employer.
Through the workshop, the participants got acquainted with the general perception of the system based on developing the employees capabilities, appreciating and motivating him professionally, and providing him with a fair evaluation, in addition to unifying the performance appraisal department and involving employees in the evaluation, raising the sense of institutional belonging, in addition to raising the level of performance and achieving strategic goals in work agencies.
The workshop dealt with the definition of the basic employee evaluation criteria, and the strategic and operational objectives associated with the tasks of employees based on the nature and types of jobs, emphasizing the need for development and training.
The workshop also dealt with the details of the basis for employee evaluation based on the basic evaluation criteria and behavioral and leadership competencies supported by the forms upon which the performance evaluation management system is based.
The workshop witnessed a variety of discussions and inquiries that were answered by the team supervising the "Performance Evaluation Management System Project at the Civil Service and Government Development", with an explanation of the role of the system ambassadors' tasks in building bridges of communication between the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and their work bodies, which consists in forming internal work teams through which employees and officials are educated about the new system, and proposing appropriate solutions to challenges.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the role of the planning and quality departments, and human resources departments in government agencies, and their effective and pivotal role in the successful implementation of the system with the necessary support and empowerment. (QNA)
