Worldwide Praise Continues for Qatar's Preparations to Host FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

Doha, October 24 (QNA) - Worldwide praise continues for Qatar's preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 with anticipations for an exceptional edition in all aspects.

Several official and international media praised Qatar's preparations to host the first tournament in the Arab and Middle East regions, saying that they are fully convinced that Qatar will make unprecedented success, especially in organization and security aspects.

In this context, Commander of United States Central Command General Michael Kurilla expressed his confidence in Qatar's ability to host a safe and distinguished World Cup edition during the following two months (Nov. 20 to Dec. 18).

A statement published on the official website of the United States Central Command (U.S. CENTCOM) pointed out that General Michael Kurilla, during his visit to the State of Qatar from Oct.20-23, stressed Washington's commitment to strengthen its partnership with Doha, especially military aspects.

On the other hand, the US official noted that Qatar is a US major non-NATO ally and plays a significant role in the Middle East region, which the US counts on to achieve security and stability in the region.

In her interview with Argentine news agency (Telam), the President of the Islam for Peace Institute Melody Amal Khalil Kabalan denounced the smear campaigns against the State of Qatar in some western media.

She said that the reason behind such campaigns is that Qatar is the first Arab Muslim country to host the World Cup tournament.

She added that fans travelling to Qatar to attend FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will discover a community more open to the customs of others, but adheres, with pride, to its customs and traditions.

Melody Kabalan said that FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 represents a great opportunity for the Qatari people to introduce the world to their customs and traditions, pointing out that cultural exchange already exists in Qatar and the Qatari people are certain that visitors will fall in love with their country.

She indicated that FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 fans will change a lot of their misconceptions about Arabic and Islamic cultures and traditions.

For its part, Turkish Anadolu Agency published a report on the latest preparations for the launch of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The report described this World Cup edition as the biggest and most important sporting event in football with a gulf taste for a tournament that happens for the first time in the Middle East and Arab regions.

In the report, Anadolu Agency shed light on the Hayya card, saying that the tournament organizing committee created it to achieve a smooth and successful for visitors and fans who wish to attend and watch the tournament's matches.

The report indicated that all local and international fans who intend to attend the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches have to apply for a Hayya card with acts as an entry permit for the State of Qatar and the stadium along with their match tickets.
