Ramallah, January 19 (QNA) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has warned against the menace of the Israeli measures and their implications, calling on the American administration to immediately intervene to halt such unilateral measures.
He said that the American administration must halt the violations perpetrated by the Israeli occupation government, such as intensification of settlement, daily killings, incursions into Palestinian cities and towns, desecrating Al-Aqsa Mosque, Christian and Islamic sacred places in Jerusalem, reneging on the signed agreements and plundering the Palestinian tax funds.
The Palestinian President made these statements during his meeting on Thursday with the United States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan who is visiting Ramallah.
He briefed the United States National Security Advisor on the latest developments in the Palestinian territory, including the subversive measures being enforced by the new Israeli occupation government, along with the crimes to destroy the two-state solution, and the signed agreements, in addition to ending the remaining opportunities of achieving peace and stability in the region.
Palestine will never accept the continuation of these Israeli crimes, and will counter them, Abbas said, stressing that Palestine will defend the rights, lands and sacred places of its people.
He said that the American administration should live up to its proclaimed obligations to preserve the two-state solution, halt the settlement and maintain the status quo, in terms of the existing legal and historic situation in Jerusalem, and reopen the American consulate office in Jerusalem, along with the office of liberation organization in Washington, and halt the unilateral Israeli measures.
