Iraqi Security Forces Launch Security Operation to Pursue ISIS Group in Northeastern Iraq

Baghdad, January 22 (QNA) - Iraqi security forces launched a security operation on Sunday to pursue remnants of ISIS group in Diyala Governorate, northeastern Iraq.
The operation was launched from two angles to comb the adjacent forests and gardens of Diyala river bank, said Diyala Operations Commander Talib Al-Musawi in a statement.
He pointed out that the security operation targeted ISIS remnants and controlled the roads through which militants infiltrate, adding that the operation aims to protect security and stability of the citizens. (QNA)
