Kuwait's Al Arabi SC Win Crown Prince Cup

Kuwait, February 06 (QNA) - Al Arabi SC won the Kuwait Crown Prince Football Cup for the 9th time in its history, by defeating Al Salmiya SC 4-1 on penalties after the end of the regular time in a 1-1 draw and an extra time with a score of 2-2 on Monday at the Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium.
Al Salmiya SC scored first through Carlos Rivas in the 27th minute, only that Al Arabi's Juma Abboud equalized the score in the 89th minute, leading the match to two additional halves.
Al Salmiya SC scored a second goal through Fahd Marzouq Al Otaibi in the 100th minute, with Al Arabi SC once again scoring the equalizer through its player Alsanousi Alhadi in the 106th minute, with the second additional half ending with a score of 2-2, resorting to a penalty shootout.
Al Arabi SC scored four successful penalty kicks, compared to one for Al Salmiya SC.
Thus, Al Arabi SC won its 9th title, equaling the Kuwait and Al Qadsiah teams' records, Al Salmiya SC's 2 titles, and a single title for Kazma SC. (QNA)
