Spanish Legend Sergio Ramos Retires International Football
Madrid, February 23 (QNA) - Spain and PSG defender Sergio Ramos announced Thursday his retirement from international football, according to a statement on Twitter.
The time has come to say goodbye to Spain national team, the 36-year-old tweeted, revealing a call he received from the current coach that he is not and will not be part of the coach's plans, regardless of his performance or career.
The former Real Madrid captain played 180 caps with Spain including his participation in the 2010 World Cup trophy in South Africa, which was sandwiched between two UEFA European Championship titles in 2008 and 2012.
The legend with a star-studded career featured in four World Cup editions - 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018. (QNA)
