Doha, March 12 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received on Sunday a phone call from his brother HH President of the sisterly United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During the call, HH the Amir and HH the President of the United Arab Emirates discussed the fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and support them, in addition to regional and international developments.

During the call, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed the UAE's support for the State of Qatar's candidacy file to host the 2026 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and accordingly, the UAE will withdraw its candidacy file, wishing the State of Qatar all the success in hosting that international gathering.

In turn, HH the Amir extended his thanks to HH the President of the United Arab Emirates, for his country's support for Qatar's candidacy to host these meetings and for his sincere fraternal wishes. (QNA)
