Kuwait: Decree to Form Cabinet Headed by Prime Minister Ahmad Nawaf

Kuwait, April 09 (QNA) - An Amiri decree was issued on Sunday to form the Kuwaiti cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Ahmad Al-Sabah.

According to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), a decree appointed Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister and Acting Defense Minister.

On Jan. 26, the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a letter of resignation from the previous government.

On Jul. 24, 2022, an Amiri decree was issued appointing Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Ahmad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister of Kuwait for the first time, where he resigned on Oct. 2, 2022, only to be reappointed on Oct. 5, 2022. He submitted his government's resignation for the second time on Jan. 26. (QNA)
