Cairo, April 23 (QNA) - Arab Parliament condemned the Israeli occupation police's storming of Bab Al-Rahma chapel in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, east Jerusalem, calling on the international community and human rights organizations to uphold their responsibility and take decisive stances to halt these assaults.
The parliament stressed the importance of maintaining the status quo in Jerusalem by the occupation authorities and never dragging the region into a religious war that cannot be stopped.
In a statement on Sunday, the parliament condemned the blatant interventions of the occupation police, including its intentional sabotage against the maintenance operations carried out by the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf to repair Al-Aqsa Mosque. The statement indicated that Bab Al-Rahma chapel is an integral part of Al-Aqsa with its entire area of 144 dunums, and will remain a pure Islamic landmark that will never accept division and sharing because it is a private property for all Muslims.
Such assaults and blatant provocative practices carried out by the occupation authorities at Bab Al-Rahma chapel and scared places will lead to a new confrontation and escalate the religious war on sanctities in Jerusalem, the Arab Parliament pointed out. (QNA)
