Riyadh, May 09 (QNA) - The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) condemned the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip and storming the city of Nablus.

GCC Secretary General Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi expressed his strong condemnation of the violent crimes committed by Israeli occupation authorities, calling on the international community to shoulder its responsibility and put an end to the Israeli occupation as well as stop its aggressive practices that would obstruct the paths of political solutions based on the Arab Peace Initiative and undermine international peace efforts.

Al Budaiwi reaffirmed the GCC's stand with the Palestinian case, as it is a priority to Arabs and Muslims, and support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
