Doha, June 20 (QNA) - Qatari writers are shining during their broad and valuable participation in the 32nd edition of the Doha International Book Fair, which is being held this year under the slogan "With Reading We Rise" at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center (DECC).

The publications of Qatari writers include novels, scientific research, children's literature and other books on topics of literature, science and knowledge.

Qatar News Agency (QNA) observed the participation of the Qatari writers during a tour of the exhibition, whose work is being presented by publishing houses from Qatar and other Gulf countries.

Doctor and Writer Hitmi Al Hitmi said that his book "We Are Alone" discusses several issues and questions, including the existence of extraterrestrial life, and explores different answers to that question. He noted that he worked on the book for four continuous months to be able provide various answers and evidence on the topic.

The cover of his book was created using artificial intelligence, in order to have an aesthetic look that is close to imagination, Al Hitmi explained.

Doctor and Writer Aisha Al Khulaifi found her participation in the book fair to be "excellent". Al Khulaifi participated with three of her works, which included three novels that focus on realistic women.

The first book is titled "To the Last Breath", followed by "Alienation of the Soul", and thirdly "Differed Aspirations". All three stores take place in Qatar, and Al Khulaifi noted that she made sure to use bynames in the novels.

Her last novel, titled "Rebellious Fire", won first place in the best unpublished book competition. Al Khulaifi explained that she deliberately wrote only few pages of the book so the reader does not get bored and with a focus only on the key story points.

Writer Shaima Al Kaldi participated in the book fair with her novel "A Almost Impossible Dream", which was inspired by a true story in her family. She aims through the novel to reach a message regarding the feelings that people of determination (people with disabilities) go through in daily lives.

Through the novel, their feelings are conveyed through realistic experiences, Al Kaldi said.

She explained that the novel follows a girl who has been crippled since her childhood, and how she was able to overcome educational challenges and societys views on her with determination.

The story also covers the situations she went through, the dreams she wishes to accomplish, and how one can reach their dreams and overcome the difficult parts in life with perseverance and patience.

Writer Najat Ali participated for the second time in the Doha International Book Fair with her book "Who Am I", which is available in both Arabic and English. The book deals with individuality and viewing oneself as the center of the universe.

The book aims to push people to find the skills and abilities in themselves and become creative and successful. "Who Am I" also includes direct and clear messages that can help guide those who deal with obstacles and difficulties. (QNA)
