Doha, June 21 (QNA) - An Omani delegation visited Wednesday the Ministry of Municipality's Building Permits Complex Department in a bid to learn about its major capacities, efforts and achievements in the field of issuing permits, construction planning and technical requirements for buildings and facilities.

The delegation, from the Sultanate of Oman's Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), was briefed on the State of Qatar's experience in the field of preparing and applying technical construction requirements and e-permits. On Thursday, the delegation will make a field visit to several logistical and industrial areas to learn about the Ministry's concerned agencies' application of guides to construction planning and technical requirements.

Director of Building Permits Complex Department, Eng. Saad Abdul Karim Al Qahtani expressed his pride in the visit, highlighting the Complex's technical solutions to issue e-permits in a short time, and its remarkable achievements over the past four years including the release of the four-volume building requirements manual.

Al Qahtani stressed that this visit aimed to exchange construction experiences between both sides and explain the facilitations it provides to developers, consulting offices and real estate owners in the State of Qatar, highlighting Qatar's unified building procedures that develop the country's comprehensive urban renaissance.

For his part, Madayn's Director of Project Management Eng. Ahmed Al Farsi said the visit sought to help Omani side learns about Qatar's preparation of construction requirements, especially with the release of its fourth edition of Building Requirements Guidebook.

Madayn is in the process of issuing an Omani Building Requirements Manual, so there was a desire to see the successful experiences of the neighboring countries, particularly the Qatari side, Al Farsi added. (QNA)
