Doha, June 26 (QNA) - Al Rayyan SC announced on Monday that it has officially signed with the Portuguese Leonardo Jardim to be the technical manager for the football first team until summer 2025.

In a statement on its official Twitter account, Al Rayyan said that the 48-year-old Portuguese coach will lead the team in the new football season 2023/2024.

Al Rayyan team will start its preparations for the QNB Stars League (QSL), which will start on Aug. 17, through the European camp, which will be held in Austria from July 17 to Aug. 7.

In May, the Al Rayyan administration parted ways with Chilean coach Nicolas Cordova, after leading the team in the past two seasons, as he led the team to reach the round of 16 in the AFC Champions League for the first time in the history of the teams participation in the continental championship since the introduction of its new system in 2003 before losing for Al Duhail, by a penalty shootout (6-7), after a 1-1 draw in the regular and extra time.
