Washington, July 30 (QNA) - Adobe has announced a new feature for Photoshop that uses generative AI to expand images. The feature, called Generative Expand, allows users to drag the crop tool beyond the original picture size and add material with or without a text prompt.

By generating imagery based on a text prompt or making an educated guess based on the existing image, users can add new scenery, widen portrait photos, or add imaginative elements to real-world photos.

The introduction of generative AI into Photoshop, a central tool for creative professionals, marks a significant change.

Adobe is being cautious in its implementation of generative AI, carefully vetting the data used to train its AI and avoiding sensitive areas like recognizable people or trademarked products. (QNA)
