Washington, August 21 (QNA) - The WhatsApp platform is developing new tools that allow users to format text message, and new tools include identifying code, highlighting quotes, and creating text lists.

Based on the images posted from the latest beta version of the app, the code formatting feature will help make it more convenient to share and read within the app, which is important for software developers and programmers who heavily share code within an application and the code formatter tool aims to eliminate the problem of displaying it in a confusing way.

The quotation tool will help identify specific parts of text messages and mark them by placing a "<" sign before them, and a bulleted list can be created by adding a dash "-" before each item in the list that the user wants to create.

WhatsApp is testing new text formatting options in the latest beta version of the app, and it is expected that they will be available to all users in subsequent updates, in addition to including them in the web and desktop version.

The platform already provides some basic tools for editing text, such as making it bold, italic, or striking it with a line.

The formatting of text messages in WhatsApp depends on the use of symbols for each option, such as placing the text between the two asterisks "*" to make it thick, and WhatsApp does not provide clear options or icons in the interface to perform text formatting.

Users can see how to format text messages in WhatsApp in the available ways through the official website.

The competing Telegram platform gives users different options for text formatting, and they can be accessed more easily when selecting any text box to write messages. (QNA)
